Private cello lessons offer a unique opportunity to explore sounds, ideas, emotions, and movement in a safe and disciplined environment. My goal as a teacher is to make cello playing, music making, and the creative process in general, easy and joyful and to guide students along a path in their lifelong musical learning. It is my hope to help each student find their voice and their agency as musicians, artists and people.
I have been teaching privately since 2003 and have worked with students of all ages, from six year-old children to college performance majors to retirees. I am equipped to teach students in all phases of their learning; whether just beginning, preparing for college auditions, or returning to cello after many years.
